Hanging Rock Winery

The goal of the Hanging Rock Winery has always been to select premium grapes from areas of Victoria best suited to the particular variety, as a result we have a wide range of wines to suit most styles and tastes.

Mount Towrong Vineyard

This cool climate vineyard enjoys moderate seasonal rainfall. Terracing the vineyard has allowed us to maximise the use of the gentle slopes and by practising sustainable farming techniques, we have been able to harvest high quality grapes with a low yield.

Hanging Rock

Hanging Rock is a rare volcanic formation near Woodend and Mount Macedon. It is one of the best examples of a volcanic plug or mamelon in the world, with weathering and erosion resulting in unusual rock formations.

Forest Glade Gardens

Forest Glade gardens are for lovers of plants and horticulture as well as a photographers’ delight. The gardens are also home to dozens of striking statues, ponds, fountains and water features.

Tasting at Hunter Gatherer Winery
Handcrafted by Macedon Ranges based winemaker Brian Martin, the wines encompass ideals of faithful expression of site, the use of old-world wine-making practices and the application of new-world knowledge.     

Tasting & Lunch at Mount Macedon Winery
Celebratory bubbles with all the depth and complexity of our estate-grown Pinot Noir. This 2010 Sparkling has aged beautifully, offering a bouquet of blackcurrant with hints of strawberry and cherry on the nose. The kitchen offers rustic, hearty, feel-good meals that go to the middle of the table for everyone to share.

Tasting at Hesket Estate
A boutique, family-owned vineyard, 660 metres above sea level on Northern slopes of Mount Macedon. Handcrafted wines derived from the red and grey loam soils of the beautiful Hesket–Kerrie Valley.                                     

Tasting at Paramoor Winery
Take a guided tasting through outstanding reds and whites, and get cosy with your newfound love in the popular, stables-turned-cellar-door.

Tasting at Lyons Will Estate, 
We like to think Lyons Will is one of the hidden gems of the Macedon Ranges. Uncomplicated and unassuming is the best way to describe it.                    

Tasting & Dinner at Double Oaks Estate,  Double Oaks Estate is a boutique winery and truffle plantation. Family owned and operated, their passion is to provide structured, fruit-driven and aromatic wines that reflect our cool climate and altitude. Magnificent wine tastings, American BBQ, savoury pie, dessert and Italian coffee. 

Tasting at Holgate Brewhouse, Proudly at the forefront of Australia’s craft brewing movement for 20 years, Holgate Brewhouse is 100% independent and has fostered innovation and creativity in traditionally crafted beers since 1999.  (45mins)

Tasting at Granite Hills Winery 
Established by the Knight family in 1970, the Granite Hills vineyard is revered as the birthplace of “Peppery Shiraz”, as well as being credited as “Victoria’s best Riesling producer”. In its 35th year, Granite Hills is enjoying a real purple patch.  

Tasting at Parkside Winery Estate.
Perfect for wine adventurers, the lovingly restored original Clydesdale horse stables hosts visitors for wine tastings.

Tasting & Lunch at Mount Towrong Vineyard.  
A small, family-owned and operated vineyard. Migrating from the Veneto region of Italy, the Cremasco family brought with them their love of food and wine, and this passion continues today.

Tasting at Big Tree Distillery 
Deliciously smooth, with citrus and juniper this is Big Tree’s traditional Gin.. Traditional in flavour, making a good, well rounded Gin and Tonic. Beautifully aromatic and smooth, the Elegant Dry Gin is our classic shout out to the London Dry Gin style.

Hidden down a laneway in the centre of Kyneton is the new home for Musk Lane Wine, a renovated old timber yard that blurs the lines between Urban Winery, Cellar Door, Neighbourhood Wine Bar & Beer Garden. 

Tasting at The Chocolate Mill
Importing the finest Belgian Fair Trade chocolate and continuing to make amazing fillings using only the best quality ingredients.

Tasting and Lunch at Passing Clouds

Tasting at Daylesford Cider Company
Take a short, sweet side trip to sample traditional-style ciders made from heritage estate-grown apples. Swill still and sparkling ciders all year round; warm up in winter with mulled cider by the open fire.
